Redundancy is the start, not the end.
Redundancy is not linear. People don’t get made redundant, dust off their CV and just go get another job. There will be many emotions, thoughts, worries, ideas that happen all at once and our Just the Start Workshops support all the twists and turns involved. It provokes thinking, it encourages brave decisions, it’s optimistic but keeps it very real – we know this stuff isn’t easy.
We support and encourage people to have:
- a fresh perspective on the future
- clarity on what to do next
- tools and techniques to use to move on
- ideas for next move
- support and know how to help take action needed
People leave knowing they have choices, they have options and that they can do whatever they want to. People leave with a little bounce in their step. We create hope. We provoke ideas, We encourage action.

We believe that redundancy is the start of a fresh perspective. With the right support, people can use it to reflect, roam and reset their priorities and their goals.
The Facilitators
I work with my fellow coach Eleanor Tweddell to run the main workshops and we work with other associates if specialists are required. We get to know the people involved. We want to make it personal to them. Here’s a potted history for Eleanor:
Eleanor is a business mentor with 25 years of corporate experience, including sales, change management, business planning, communication and publicity, for brands including Costa Coffee, Virgin Atlantic and Vodafone. She runs two businesses and represents start-ups on various business forums.
Cost
As a guide, a full day workshop, with minimum 8 people, maximum 20 people, is £525 per head. (Travel, venue, refreshments not included)
We can work to company needs and create a bespoke programme. We can also include an online offering which works well as ongoing support or for remote workers, and a follow up 121 programme. We can do a full day workshop, a half day workshop, an hour speaking or Q&A session, 121 coaching or we offer a fully online service.
